Documents
Wouldn’t it be disheartening if you are stopped from doing anything on your trip just because you missed a piece of paper? Ensure you carry all the required documents. This could be your boarding pass, passport, travel information details booklet, etc. Since digitalisation is widespread today; possessing scanned copies of all the documents also works, but you should possess both to serve as a backup.

Check your prescriptions
You cannot mess with your health even if you’re traveling. Get your medications and buy extras for travel. If on severe medications, you should also consult and inform your doctor about your trip details.

Check for monetary requirements
Make sure you carry some cash with you in case of an emergency. Check your balances and make sure they suffice for your vacation holistically.

Electronics
We can’t imagine life without a cell phone today. Be it locating places, finding new spots, capturing images, making payments, contacting people, or whatsoever; a cell phone is crucial. Make sure your device is well charged; you carry a power bank and have an e-sim. Airalo E-sim is a boon for traveler’s! The need for data cannot be denied, with the help of an E-sim you can avail electronic sim without having to look for a store, and this is even affordable.

Get acquainted with the place of a visit
Make sure you go through the rules and regulations of the place you’re visiting, know their culture, their language basics, and do’s and don’ts of the place.

Leaving Your House
Opening the door to a house of shambles after returning from a tiresome trip is the last thing you want to do.

Check the switches
Make sure all your switches are turned off and unplug the appliances.

Notify your alarm company
If you have a security system, let them know of the dates you’ll be away from home. You can also inform your trusted neighbour’s to keep an eye on your house.

Clear the fridge
Turning off the fridge is a good idea. Don’t let leftovers lie around in the fridge as the food might turn stale and then lead to a bad odor.

Check the water taps
Don’t leave any tap open at all costs. You wouldn’t like stepping into a flooded house after a trip, would you?

Pull down the blind
Close your curtains. This will keep your house secure and warm.

Check if everything is closed
Make sure you double-lock everything -the cupboard, the windows, the doors, etc.

If you have plants in your yard, ask your neighbour’s to water them. If you have a pet, leave them with a relative or neighbour.

Packing Your Bag
Don’t carry extra luggage, it will only hinder you from being free.

Tag
Put on a unique recognizably tag on your luggage so it’s easily identifiable on the carousel. Make sure your name is clearly written. Taking a snapshot of your luggage is a good idea in case it gets mixed up and you have to justify to the security that the luggage is yours indeed.

Pack the necessities
Do not overstuff your bag with things you might not need. Keep only the essentials; carry warm clothes if you’re going to a freezing location. Your bag shouldn’t get so heavy that it restricts your plans.

Inspect luggage for problems
The zipper of your bag suddenly coming off mid-travel is a nightmare indeed! Check your bag for signs of damage; if you even feel the slightest risk of it breaking then go for another set of luggage. Carrying an extra bag can always be helpful.

Carry some snacks with you to keep yourself filled up when you travel. Pre-book the hotel room, be well-acquainted with your itinerary, and never cut contact. You can always refer to your phone and e-sim to use Google maps, read about places, and explore the location.

Now all you need to do is sit down for a moment, take a deep breath and know that everything is replaceable and can be availed if you have your identification, money, documents, and your travel insurance. So relax; you’re going to be just fine! Happy journey!
