Born in 1630 to Jijabai and Shahaji Raje Bhosle, Shivaji Bhosale, or Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, was the greatest warrior of all times. Maharashtra had gained great prosperity under his reign. His strategic military planning has led to the construction of numerous forts in Maharashtra.

Also known as Daulatabad Fort, this is regarded as one of the wonders of Maharashtra. The fort has several monuments, Chand Minar being the most appealing one.

2. Rajmachi Fort Built by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj
